I have been to literally every type of psych ward: hospital, residential, wilderness, lockdowns, php, iop, etc. I can answer any questions about what it was like there, what I learned, and what I wish I had done differently. Ask me anything!
I have been to every type of mental health treatment center (inpatient and outpatient) AMA

I’m in a PHP right now. I’m finding it really helpful and have been really throwing myself at it, trying to get to the bottom of my issues and be healthy moving forward.
Do you have any advice for someone who is deeply committed to the work, but also fears that he is too broken and/or too far gone to be “fixed”?
Assuming this was something your parents did/asked you to do, how has it affected your relationship with them/the rest of your family?
What’s your diagnosis?
What kinda treatments do they give in these places?
