I haven’t been sober for a couple of months and don’t plan on getting sober

r/

The most I’m sober is when I sleep. I’m always stonedd, I’m a high functional stoner so no one in college nor work figured it out. I do plan on taking a break but shit scared

If you don’t feel ready to stop, it’s because it’s not the time, but I just advise you to go and register with an addiction center to at least talk about your consumption and reduce the risks! ‘

For your pose try testing CBD to smoke and in oil it can perhaps help you if you ever feel a lack

Can you talk to a therapist about this and see if you can get additional support? I know a lot of people who get stoned, but not perpetually as you’ve described unless they are trying to numb themselves or escape from something in their minds/life. Are you unhappy with your life? Is it a coping mechanism? Something to consider as you work through this.

I wish you the best and hope you can find a better way forward

Weed means you’re not sober? That doesn’t sound right

I suffer from chronic pain due to degenerative disk disease. I’ve gone through many periods where my usage of weed became daily in order to manage pain, and then it just becomes routine.

To be honest it’s so much better than the narcotics and muscle relaxers that I could take to deal with this pain. But it doesn’t always feel great to be getting stoned every day, and eventually you don’t even feel stoned you just feel burned out ( but the pain relief from weed is still present).

My advice for taking a break after daily smoking for a while: lean into sleep. Sleep a lot. Your dreams will become very vivid as you stop, this is one of the main withdrawal symptoms for many people, so your sleep might not feel as restful. But it sure is interesting! So plan extra hours to just be in bed. Be very gentle with yourself, don’t be mad at yourself. There are many things far worse, and people end up daily smokers due to having to cope with something big. It’s not a moral failing!
