I invest in individual stocks, which according to Reddit is completely insane, and have been consistent in doing so for the the past five years, AMA

The title.

Been an armchair investor for just over half a decade now.

Had a lot of wins, had a lot of losses, but I’m at point where I’m consistently covering my cost of living through every up, down, sideways market there is.

Ask me anything!

Just be careful not to get too over confident because 5 years in a bull run is nothing. Everyone is a genius in a bull run

Do you have any advice for beginners who are looking to invest?

I’m in my early 40s and trying to prepare for some type of retirement but not sure where my savings should go in terms of investments.

I hear gold, silver, and copper are viable. People talk about weapons all the time.

5 years. Success is measured over 30+ years plus the fact your doing posts about your success like you’ve beaten the system isn’t a good sign.

The people who advise against it aren’t using personal experience their using the data over a much longer period.
