I just came to vent about my job lol thanks for listening

So I really like my new job but two things irritate me:

  1. I love most of my coworkers but my main supervisor is a big micromanager. In almost every job I’ve had I’ve had to deal with a difficult manager. I feel like she nitpicks me and finds something new to complain about each time. My strategy so far has been to give her what she wants and do things exactly as she says but she still finds new things to complain about. It annoys me because not everyone has a manager who is as nitpicky as mine. I feel like when I try to tell her how I feel she has sometimes taken joy in me being embarrassed/meek/or uncomfortable can’t explain it. It’s like she’ll lay off me for a bit and then find a new thing to complain about. How can I keep this job long enough until she eventually retires? LOL
  2. I signed up to work hybrid and I HAVE LOVED BEING HYBRID. Having a remote job has done WONDERS for my mental and physical health. Like omg. Recently I learned our office is moving so I also have to move home. The managers are talking about making all classes in person again and a part of me is really annoyed about this. The job was advertised as hybrid and there seems to be not a care in the world for making it all go in person. I realize they can do whatever they want but I still hope I get one remote day a week.

Also, I’m aware now is not a great time to quit a job so I will hold unto it even if we are back in person. This is the first hybrid job I’ve ever had and I just really love the remote work.

Looking for advice on managers or if anyone else has been in a similar position.
