On November 2024 I lied about my income for a loan application from upstart, I did get the loan as they did not check for “proof” of my income, it was around $1700, now it shows as fraud on my Experian credit report, will I face jail time?, I will pay it back though, this along with the fees, it was upstart, the income I put was around $75k when I only made $10k per year, I think they have been contacting me to pay it back but haven’t even sent it to collections yet. I’m confused.

You should really just pay this off as soon as possible
If that comes to attention of law enforcement, it may.
By paying off the loan, you will remove incentive for the creditor to get law enforcement involved.
Maybe they think someone else fraudulently made the loan and they wrote it off? Maybe you can Write a dispute to the credit reporting agency.
Believe it or not – straight to jail.
