When we argue she calls me names and says harsh things
Later she says she didnt mean it but words stick
I never call her names I try to stay calm but she pushes me until I break
It makes me feel disrespected and small
I told her that I need respect even in fights but she says everyone argues like that
I dont think its normal to insult each other every time
I love her but I dont want to feel like an enemy in my own relationship

Thant’s not normal, it’s called hitting below the belt. Nobody should demean or belittle or call names, even in a passionate argument. You don’t go there for a reason, and this is the result. If your partner can’t respect that there is no healthy future for that relationship
