I remember a black nothingness, but I had consiousnes I couldn’t recall anything from my actual life but I could have thoughts. There wasn’t any emotions it felt neither good nor bad, it just kinda was

Did you get help afterwards or did you use again?

That made you think why you ended up in that situation or you just thought it was “fun”?

Had the same, although it was a miscalculation of the heroin dosage and i passed out, stopped breathing and collapsed. But it isn’t “death”, because that term always means, it is irreversible. Death can’t be cured, can’t be reversed, you just stopped breathing and your brain still had enough oxygen until narcan aka naxolon was used to remove the opioids from the receptors.

We both were “dying”, but not “dead”.

So, about AMA question: The use of narcan will get you into the state of precipitated withdrawal when you are a long-term addict of high dosages. Did this happen to you?

Or was your addiction at least low enough to not trigger this state, when the narcan removed all opioids at once from the receptors?

Precipitated withdrawal means, you are immediately in 100% full withdrawal. Even with cold withdrawal, it is different, as the symptoms will graduallly increase and later decrease over time. But this state, it is like you hit a wall at 200 mph with your car, it is a serious crash that hits you hard.

Do you think there’s some kind of afterlife or after-existence?

What’s your motivation to stay clean? I know a mom who lost her son to fentanyl the day before he was going to rehab, seeing the sadness in her is haunting.

So you essentially felt like a soul floating in the void, so to speak?

How long did this void floating last in your perspective? 3 minutes like usual?

Did you feel any pain in the twilight of death?

Has your experience led you to any interest in NDE’s (near-death experiences)? I find them fascinating.

Are you on a MAT program or did you get medically detoxed?

What’s your story? I am assuming you didn’t just start taking fentanyl in high doses out of nowhere.

And not sure if this is relatable, but if you had family or close friends that didn’t use and hid it from them, what should people be looking for? No one wants to accuse someone of being an addict but I think everyone wants to look after their family and know the signs that are a bit less obvious.

Do you remember the day you started smoking fent? Did you ever think it would lead to a full on addiction and an overdose? (Sorry if this is insensitive)

    Same with me!!! 3 times!

As much as I want to do it again, I have a decent life. I have the woman of my dreams, I am a home owner, I have the coolest job ever. Fetty ruined everything I worked for. I had to start all over again. And I fucking made it.

Nothing is easy tho. But at least I am a productive member of society. There are so many things to worry about. I am trying so hard to not be lazy, but I am addicted to my phone now. Reddit, YouTube, Netflix are making me so lazy. ..

I can hear my girl rn “you’re always on your damn phone!”.
