Backup of the post’s body: Hi everyone!
I have a friend (28 F) that I have known since high school who is getting married. We are friends and have kept in decently consistent contact but I’m not as close to her to be invited to her bachelorette which is reasonable as I don’t think I would invite her to mine. I already did RSVP and have made plans to attend this wedding. I just received a text from one my best friend’s sister that my best friend (26 F) is getting engaged the same day as this wedding. There will be a surprise party that I got invited to after the engagement and I’m upset that I won’t be able to make it. However I feel like I should go to the wedding because I already RSVPed, but I feel guilty for not being able to make it to my closer friend’s engagement surprise. Is bad that I can’t make it to the engagement party? I’m thinking about sending her a gift and offer my congrats from afar (we don’t live in the same state- about 4-5 hours of driving apart). Let me know what you guys think.
