I’m sorry you had to experience this. Did you feel loved and well-cared for in any of the homes where you were placed? Are you in touch with any of your former foster parents and/or foster siblings?
If there were any ‘good’ placements, what did you value the most? If not, what would you have liked? I am someone who is considering fostering in five or so years, I had extended family members who spent time in care and did not have positive experiences so it has always been something I have thought about doing. For context, I do not currently have children, might have a pet in the next two years, no current partner but would prefer to foster with a partner to give more structure etc.
