I think my ‘25F’ husband ‘29M’ is using Facebook Dating

r/

I recently saw Facebook Dating at the very top of my husbands facebook shortcuts, I clicked on it because somehow the Dating app doesn’t show up on my profile shortcuts.
When I clicked on his it had two options “Join dating” and “browse privately”
That made me go and check on my facebook profile when I looked up the Dating app on my profile it only said “Get started”
We’ve been together for 5 years and I’m 8 months pregnant, I don’t know if it’s just hormones that are making me overthink but this would devastate me.
Am I overthinking this, overreacting or has he been on facebook Dating?

You need to have a conversation. I would say that is not enough on its own to tell if he is cheating. There may be something there, but I think hormones may be getting the best of you.

Make a fake account with some random girl’s picture. Join FB Dating yourself, and if you see him then you know

I last used Facebook dating about 3 years ago, I’ll try to open it for you 😂

Its asking me to review how they use our data/changes before I can resume Facebook Dating. Somewhat inconclusive, but he may have been on there more recently than I was

I know nothing about it but I’ve seen it pop up on my feed even though I don’t date or have a profile and I think I removed it once from my feed. I would bring it up to him anyways. Just mention how Facebook seems weird for making its own dating service. Something that’s not accusatory and is casual.

He has been using it if it’s in his shortcuts. Plus it doesn’t say get started so he already has a profile made. But also the Facebook dating was launched on fb in 2018 so 7 years ago, I think he could have used it before meeting you but hard to say.

Trust your gut. It’s very common for cheaters to start cheating or get more sloppy when you’re pregnant cos they think you’re trapped and not going anywhere. It’s easier to leave before the baby is born.

I signed up for FB dating briefly in 2021 and then promptly deleted it. It still shows up on my shortcuts but when I went to click it to check for you it says “get started”

I think there’s a chance he’s using it, but more likely Facebook popped up an invitation and he clicked away on the notification. They’ve done that to me before and I think for some time afterwards the Facebook dating icon was in my header or some other featured location. But right now as I’m trying to check for you, what happens if I click on it? I can’t even find the darn thing. I just spent several minutes looking on Facebook for the dating part so I could tell you what it says to me. A person who has never used it whatsoever, but who has clicked away on their invitation before. And my answer to you is I absolutely cannot find the link so it’s not in the shortcuts it’s not in the notifications. It’s not in the header. It’s not the sidebar like I don’t know where it went and I don’t know if this is useful to you whatsoever, but I like the idea of having a friend set up a fake account to look for him over there. I know you’re stressed and pregnant and I think it shouldn’t have to be up to you to try this. So maybe you have a friend you can trust to do the job.
