My husband is turning 30 and I thought I’d do an advent style gift where I’d give him 30 gifts leading up to his birthday. I am also thinking of hiding it around the house and giving him clues for a bit of fun
I’ve saved money up and I’m budgeting about 2K or more for this in total. Anything small or big is welcome!
Can you help me with ideas? No idea is too big or small!
Hobbies he enjoys:
– Gym (I’ve found 8 items from Ryderwear I think he’d like and it involves weight lifting shoes, tees, shorts, hoodies)
– he shaves and trims his beard
– he’s into vitamins and health ( I could get a NutriBullet as his current one is falling apart but this seems like a household item?)
– he’s into skin care and hair care (he uses my Pantene conditioner so I could get him that)
– he loves gardening and BBQ but again I feel that’s a household task and not a gift, like if someone gifted me a rice cooker lol. Also he is mindful of sodium.
Thanks in advance 🙂

This is cute asf 😭
I’m a guy
He’s going to be exhausted by day 7. One common complaint I hear from other married men is that they dread their birthday because people make it about themselves. We generally want one day out of the year with peace, quiet and no fuss.
Does he wear a watch ?
My first thought was ‘don’t get him thirty tiny shit gifts’ but the things you’re listing here are great! I would love this!
Get him the nutribullet and the garden tools. Guys generally don’t my mind being gifted household items like women do. And if it’s something he used often, he’ll be thrilled.
Google “Archie McPhee” and search their offerings on Amazon. Lots of great gag gifts to fill out those days. Rubber chickens. Finger hands. Bigfoot noisemaker. Instant underpants.
Most men would prefer not to get a bunch of stuff. Just more clutter and things to worry about.
It’s a very nice thought, but you need to put thought into the 30 gifts, not just make up the numbers. Make each number symbolise something and it’s a winner
Every man is different but this would absolutely not be a good time for anyone remotely like me. Many men have trouble accepting praise or gifts and this could turn into a hellish marathon of extra daily stressors. Be not surprised if after this constant new daily performance number he has to do he acts a bit distant for awhile. This could use up the coping mechanism reserves in the short term.
The best gift for a hobbyist is raw materials for the hobby. He likes BBQ, get him a dry aged steak to cook. He likes gardening, get him a cool plant start or some unique seeds or a bag of upgraded dirt soil.
Be careful with the shoes, he may want a specific kind and try them on.
Kinder surprise egg, those are fun no matter age
Fireworks
Nice pair of underwear, saxx, ck, Tommy etc..
Lingerie for you for him
I’ve been doing cryo and hyperbaric therapy, helped my recovery and a fun experience. Lots of places offer and have gift cards.
Custom insoles
Actually, if you wanna get him a landscape kit, you can get him the 4.0 at Walmart for like 120 bucks it’s a total package
Gift him an experience rather than an item/bunch of items. I got for my 30th birthday to drive a Ferrari 488 and two laps in the Monza race track in Italy, and it was waaay less than what you’re budgeting. I will remember that experience for the rest of my life.
A brush to apply shaving cream is something that’s always appealed to me but I’ve never thought to buy one myself
A weight lifting book could be cool i.e the encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding
Some really nice and/or exotic meat to grill
Any kind of “household items” that you seem apprehensive to gift could be punched up with some personalization like name engraving or what have you
30 pieces of beef jerky
Pole saw or chainsaw
