I work with housing homeless veterans and addicts AMA

r/

I’ve worked in the social work field for the last two years. If you want to hear crazy stories or maybe some information just ask.

Yeah? Are they hiring where you work?

I’m assuming that because you volunteer in this area you believe in it which is wonderful. I think it’s a great thing to do. Far as weather people actually recover from addiction better if they have a home versus homeless? I know that sounds like I should know the logical answer but I’m actually genuinely interested in knowing how much higher the rate is of recovery and permanent recovery even after that. Bless you for doing what you do

How did you get into it?

    Was it as you expected?

What do you think is something people should know about the people you work with?

If you could change one thing about your job, what would it be and why?
