I’m not aware of any Christian doctrine that dictates boundaries to God’s domain. Many early Christians considered the sky itself to be heaven so I guess in their eyes, an astronaut would already be there.
Christian beliefs on the rules of the afterlife are highly varied and have changed a lot over the centuries, but I think the majority of 21st century Christians would think that situation “still counts.”

They’re already there, aren’t they?
Heaven literally being in the sky is a cultural meme with the Bible making no mention of that

Is this a “hits blunt” meme wtf?
They wait in purgatory till god and satan play a game of dominos for your soul.
They still go to heaven. Its not about where you are, its about having faith in Christ. Simple as.
“Heaven” is a VERY subjected term.
Many scholars agree that heaven had been mistranslated for many years and actually meant the sky in old texts
