Would it make a difference yes. Because there wouldn’t be food or at least a smaller amount in there .
BUT you still have stomach acid so you’d be in a rough spot. You just wouldn’t have whatever you ate coming out as well.
Not precisely what you’re looking for but the Bible notes that King Eglon was so fat that when he was stabbed in the stomach the fat entirely engulfed the dagger. He still died so it would seem you’re toast either way
