Yes. It is my wedding and the dress I am going to wear, why should my mom’s opinion have any effect on anything?

Yes. It would be my wedding. That means my partner and I get to make all the decisions. If my mom is set on a dress she just loves she can re marry or renew her vows and wear it then. Your wedding isn’t about your mom. If she is married she already had her wedding her way. If she’s not then she can get married and already has the dress to wear. Now it’s your turn to have your wedding your day that includes you wearing the dress you want. And honestly you’re about to get married and start your own family. Nothing looks better on a person than a shinny spine. You’re never going to make everyone happy. Everyone is always going to have an opinion. So make yourself happy and let everyone else be upset

I think it depends on why she doesn’t approve? If I love a sweater dress for my July wedding or I’m pining over a dress for its potential and not how it actually fits my body, she’s probably right. If it’s just like, my tits are out or she thought Id want more sparkles, no lol

Yes. I mean, if she wants me to wear a different dress, let her pay for it (which she wouldn’t do, so that would be the end of the conversation).
