If you’re going to work in the service industry at least speak enough English to understand.

I worked a 12 last night and was on trauma all I was looking forward to was McDonald’s breakfast in the morning. I placed an order for McDonald’s delivery and the dasher “delivered” my food at my apartment complex. I got a message saying it was delivered with the link showing the photo (proof of delivery) and the dasher didn’t even show an apartment number (but I know it’s my apartment by the background) just showing the food in his hand and the door in the background.

So I call the dasher, he doesn’t speak English and my Spanish is proficient but not fluent enough for native Spanish speakers (because you know there’s different types of Spanish-like dialects). So I pull up my translator and start asking where is my food and he’s saying he dropped it, I’m telling him it’s at the wrong apartment. Then he’s saying he’s going to look for it that he’ll call me back in 5 minutes. Then he’s saying he never even picked it up, and then it’s was a whole bunch of back and forth.

End of story, never got my food. Got a refund, but was looking forward to the breakfast.

I don’t think English would have helped this situation.
