I have never encountered a woman with a Louis Vuitton never-full who wasn’t a total snob!
I literally don’t notice people’s purses unless it is cute or unusual. If I know the designer (which is rare), I just think how much money they wasted on a designer bag that holds things and doesn’t look much different than the ones I buy from TJ Maxx.
If someone has a purse the size of a tote I think they’re probably a lot to deal with lol. Proven right so far, but small sample size admittedly
The only real correlation I noticed was with age and expense. When young women had expensive designer handbags (like age 25 and younger and in a low paid career field) there was definitely a correlation between that and them coming from a wealthy background that they were trying to flaunt. I don’t find this true for age 30 or so and on as by then people have had more time to build resources and buy something nice for themselves and (probably) aren’t consciously trying to signify their wealth to others.
I collect handbags because I’m fortunate enough to live in a huge city with lots of thrift stores. In fact, my bag collection is getting out of hand!! My sister is decidedly not!!! She lives 3 states away and when she comes to visit I jump at the chance to get her a new bag. Well, after the pandemic when no one could travel very easily, she came to visit after about 3 years. Her bag has mold on it. I swear to every thing I hold dear, it was getting moldy!!!

IF I notice, and that’s a big if, I only judge if it’s an expensive designer handbag. I don’t know many designer brands, but if I do know I automatically judge the person for spending a stupid amount of money on it. It’s pointless to me.
I saw a lady at a kids birthday party recently who was carrying a Goyard tote and she honestly never put it down. It was so weird.
She wanted to make sure everyone saw it? She worked in HR and seemed to be trying to be flashy.
She was there a few hours and no one else even brought a purse in.

I didn’t realize it at the time but my old boss took a $400+ purse on a kayak/picnic outing for work. I complimented her on it and she gave me side eye.
I looked it up later because I thought it was cute and wanted one. Then realized… that’s quite a choice to take that out in the woods.
If they carry something like a Louis Vuitton or any bag that has the designers initials on it, I judge them for being unoriginal sheep. I think most of them are trying to convey a message, like “I have money.” Most don’t, but even if they do, I don’t care. Nobody cares.
Women who carry a bumbag or tote bag will 100% of the time allow you to sit with them if you’re alone

People with those little fandom backpacks are almost always super sweet
I know this because I’m a fellow collector (to clarify I’m not saying I’m a perfect angel) and when I see others with them, we usually point each other out. It always ends up being a super wholesome interaction. I’ve never seen a person be a total monster while wearing one

Usually I don’t notice bags. But if they have a weird handbag shaped like a chicken or a giant beetle or something, it means we should be friends.
I crocheted the purse I use regularly so I like it when I see people wearing handmade bags – either they made it themselves which is cool or they supported an independent artist which is also cool.
Every woman I’ve met who carries a big slouchy corduroy or cotton bag has been very messy but sooo kind and good hearted
People who make Ita bags (bags with a clear window decorated with many small charms and pins of a single character or interest) are cool nerds. I haven’t been wrong yet.
Personally I prefer beauty treatments over designer anything, but I don’t judge if someone has a designer bags cuz I think maybe they prefer that
In the past, I’d assume that anyone with an LV canvas print is basic af and has no original taste beyond following trends. Obviously this is super judgemental and I’ve met some lovely, creative people who just happen to like that design.
lululemon belt bag over the chest – ugh. around the waist – YEA. (lol I wear mine around my waist and I’m just trying to make myself feel better. I can’t see how its convenient over the the chest)
I don’t know but I always get along with the coach girlies !! Love them so much.
