I(F16) was given DAEP for 90 days in the beginning of next school year, could I request home school instead?

Location: Houston, Texas

I(F16) am in high school in Humble ISD. I was given DAEP for 90 days in the beginning of next school year for being in possession of a THC vape. I originally brought it to school to give to my friend and she’d give it back to me the next day, but I don’t see her until the end of the day. Now, I will not say that I don’t deserve DAEP, but it feels a bit excessive. I’m a relatively good kid with a very clean record and good grades. There was an anonymous report that I was buying weed from a guy in the bathroom, which I feel doesn’t even make sense since we have two different bathrooms and I got my vape from a friend in a completely different setting. Anyways, they call me to the office and search me, they find the pen. I’ve done my research on DAEP schools and it honestly sounds horrible. It sounds especially horrible since I can barely function without my headphones on. Can someone let me know if home school is an option? If so, will the DAEP go on my record?
