I am contortionist who struggles with her mental health. Ive been anorexic, I’ve been obese, I’ve been fit. I’ve gone through many ups and downs in my life but flexibility always grounds me. Now I teach people flexibility which brings me a piece of happiness everyday.

Doing flexibility exercises and trying after a long warmup but I just seem to be plateaued.
How did you find you could do the contortions you do, or did you just develop it over time? I’m very jealous of the way you can move, I’m so stiff in my back sometimes, I struggle to get out of my chair.

Struggling with mental health and eating disorders for a longer period is a common sign for women who is actually neurodivergent and undiagnosed, have you considered this anything?
Why mental health struggles? Have you heard of EMDR? Hypnotherapy? rTMS? There are solutions. I guarantee you can be struggle free
From doing martial arts for a few years, I developed a very, very decent level of flexibility. However even when I mostly stopped besides the occasional practice, and as I gained weight (just over the overweight category), I still find that I’m pretty flexible, which I think is cool! Currently just started working on cutting lol

I am not inflexible, I lift weights. But how can a man benefit from flexibility? And if I can benefit. What do you recommend me starting out with?
You mentioned to somebody else that too much fat in the wrong place can reduce flexibility; can too much muscle in the wrong place reduce flexibility too? (Not a problem I’ll ever have, just curious.)
