I’m applying to be a LEO with a past driving record. It was nothing that bad, things like careless driving, driving while suspended, minor traffic and parking violations. These all occurred in my early 20s I am now 30 years old and turned my life around. I haven’t gotten a ticket or pulled over in 8 years. I hope that they can see past this and chalk it up to me being an adolescent… any advice?

I dont think there is any advice to give. Itll be up to individual departments how big an issue that is.
Just be honest about it. Some agencies may turn you away for something like that, others may keep you. Agency specific. Just be honest about it all.
There is no advice because you are stuck with your record.
How much an old record matters depends on the department and possibly state law.
In my state a B misdemeanor is a 10 year suspension in licensing requirements and an A misdemeanor is a permanent ban.
What level of conviction you may have had, if not convicted at all or if pleaded down to a traffic citation might be a deal breaker or a non-issue.
You should be good I’ve seen worst, enough time elapsed. Apply to multiple agencies tho
