I’m having genital issues and I’m scared, help?

r/

SERIOUS

I’ve(27M) been having issues for the past few months now with my penis. It started as a rash on the tip(little red spots and super itchy), then my foreskin got really dry(to the point where I couldn’t pull it back even to pee), and now when I materbate my sperm causes irritation and a feeling like my penis is burning wherever the sperm touches it. I’m 99% sure it can’t be an STD since I’m still a virgin. I’m really scared of what might be going on. I swapped to a new body wash and that helped with the dryness, but the rash comes and goes. Also since the dryness went away my foreskin is a lot tighter, to the point where it’s hard to pull it back if I get an erection.

Any help would be appreciated.

Something like this has happened to me in the past, put some vaseline on the dry part to help re-moisturize it. Re-apply as needed.

body wash generally will dry out skin since its a soap that removes oils, so definitely apply some vaseline (or some other petroleum jelly) right after you dry yourself off after the shower.

Your average moisturizer or lotion will work, but the petroleum jelly will work the best.

You should go to a doctor immediately. If you’re still a virgin, the chance of it being an STD is indeed low, but there are non-sexually transmitted diseases that can still affect your genitals. Go to a doctor as soon as possible.

You need to see a dermatologist or a urologist

You most likely failed to wash consistently, and are now having an agressive rash. The skin has wounds, and it’s normal to have tightness while healing. Use warm water to gently wash the area, use regular, unscented soap. Stop masturbating for the next 3-4 weeks, until it goes away, and, especially, touching yourself with dirty hands. That means wash your hands before peeing, or thinking of even scratching your balls. Make this a rule in your life. Do not put any types of creams on the affected area, and try to let it dry with the foreskin pulled off.
If within the next 3-4 days you see no improvement, a visit to the doctor is MANDATORY

I’ve had this. I had to get circumcised. But if you can’t afford to go then you gotta be on-top of cleaning it and hold off from being sexually active until you can get your foreskin removed.

Wash multiple times a day. If the skin splits when pulling the foreskin back treat it with polysporin.

It sucks, I know. It can get uncomfortably itchy. But start saving up to have the procedure done. It’s worth it.

That sounds like a yeast infection. You can buy antifungal cream at any store or amazon. Look for miconazole in cream form.

That is a yeast infection or balantis. See a doctor for cream and antibiotics. Use water to rinse and dont use lube until it improve. Lotion and soap also irritates it. Go no product until it clears.

Rashes on the genitals can be from numerous things. Go to the ER if it hurts. A proper doctor if you can manage, whatever you must do. Just go. A rash could be anything from dermatological issues, an allergy to your underwear, or it could be an STI from a public toilet. Shit happens. It sucks you have to be in the position, but get better.

American? Go to the hospital ER. Hospital isn’t allowed to refuse service and nearly all ERs have a program to wave the bill completely if you don’t make over some massive amount. Short answer, Hospital E.R. is free for nearly everyone who asks.

Urgent care may be cheaper if you dont have insurance to get it checked out by a professional. Especially if its something simply like needing a cream. 2nd advice when i didn’t have insurance was going to the CVS minute clinics they are affordable and work with you. If none are in your area you can go inside a Walgreens or CVS and they generally have a place where u ask the pharmacist their opinion (they cant give a diagnosis or anything but they can help you find something to treat the symptoms at least).

Could be thrush, they have pigment at pharmacies. Go to an std clinic.

This sounds like a yeast infection. I’m a big sweaty diabetic dude, and I’ve had them a few times. This sounds exactly like that. First, if at all possible, go to the doctor. Whether your primary doc, or an ER or urgent care. If none of those are an option, you can buy antifungal creame like Lotrimine or even a cream-based monistat or similar product over the counter, but at this point the RX creams your doctor can prescribe will probably be needed more since you’ve been dealing with it for so long.

It’s embarrassing, I know, having to buy this shit, but trust me, the releif will be 100% worth it. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this shit. It happens. It’ll go away quick with the right medicine.

Edit to add: I see below access to doctor is a problem Got it. Go to amazon or your local pharmacy and look in the section they keep pregnancy tests and shit, look for Monastat or something generic for yeast infections. Make sure it says it’s a cream and not some insert or something. Rub that shit all over your junk. do it two times a day, bath every night and keep it as clean as you can. It’s probably gonna take a few days to clear up, but keep it up. If it doesn’t clear up in a week of the cream then you will HAVE to go to your doctor. I’m not saying your dick’s gonna fall off but you probably already wish it would if you’ve been dealing with this for months.

Can you imagine having an issue with your penis for 2 months and not doing anything about it, and then after 2 months, the thing you do is seek advice from reddit? Go to a fucking doctor.

This sounds like thrush from washing with the wrong kind of soap, or from someone using a laundry powder or gel that you could be allergic to. See a medical professional and they will prescribe a topical cream that will resolve this easily. In future just use water when washing under your foreskin. You are going to be okay.

As others have said, it sounds a lot like thrush – a yeast infection.

I had it last year (potential risk of the medication I’m on).

Get yourself some Clotrimazole (brand names such as Canesten). The directions are probably only written for women. But, basically, carefully apply to the affected region. Clean the area with water (not too hot, not too cold).

You may find that the discharge is difficult to remove using just water. I did use a hypoallergenic body wash on a wet cotton pad. Just rinse thoroughly!

Oh, and wash your hands afterwards.

Along with that, make sure you’re changing your underwear daily and make sure they get laundered properly. Basically, anything your penis comes into contact with needs to be laundered.

Wondering if you’re allergic to your own semen. I know a woman whose husband’s name her break out.

You may have a fungal infection. There are foot creams you can buy and use on your body in other places – it’s all the same active ingredient, most of the time. Look for canesten cream for ‘athletes foot’ or jock itch. Sometimes your own micro biome goes out of whack in moist/warm environments or if your hygiene is disrupted or if you’re stressed or unwell.

Give it a try – small amount, 3 times a day – after a day or two you might notice things getting better, but it can sometimes take a few weeks to clear up entirely.

    Good luck!

Try planned parenthood – it’s not just for the ladies. They may be able to assess you and give you some meds, even if it’s not an std
