Im impressed of how easy it is to watch football in LATAM

r/

Damn, here in LATAM watching football is so accessible. Im currently in Chile and with Disney+ I can watch all competitions for like 15 USD per month on ESPN. There are so many ESPN channel they show everything around the world. With the best commentators who shout “goooool”.

In Europe, I need so many expensive subscriptions (DAZN, Sky, RTL+, Telekom, Amazon Prime) to watch football and hear sleepy commentators for like 100 Euros a month.

I really love how accessible it is in Latam to watch the games. And I love the football culture here. People watch together, make asado, shout for their team in the TV.

Gooooool!!

I believe it varies from country to country, in Brazil you also need multiple subscriptions.

I didn’t know it was so hard in Europe, for some reason I was expecting the opposite.

I never really thought of watching football as something that could even be difficult. What’s hard is avoiding it. When a big team plays, no matter how little you care, you WILL know about it.

Depends on the country. I pay for two. One for Argentinian and other for European football.

It used to be easier tho. If you don’t have a streaming device that plays live matches or pay cable, finding a place to watch it for free online has become near impossible.

In Brazil it’s just like Europe I guess, or even worse.

You can watch football on open channels like Globo, SBT and Record… Also streaming services like Max, Paramount, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Globoplay (Sporv)… and PPV like Premiere.

You can subscribe to Premiere with streaming or cable.
SporTV, TNT you can watch on cable as well, but it will be on base cable plan, not PPV like premiere.

Maybe I’m even forgetting some since I don’t watch football lol

Edit: Forgot that Casemiro also show some on Youtube

Which is why IPTV piracy now is huge in Brazil, specially those who watch football.

In the US to watch all the different tournaments I would need to subscribe to Fox Deportes, ViX, Paramount+, ESPN, TUDN, Amazon Prime. 😤

Yea, I realized it was not a normal thing when I saw what people in the US have to do to watch NBA games, it’s nuts

    Na, Deutscher? Jajajaja.

My German family switched to Argentine commentary. And they don’t even speak Spanish.

Welcome to the gooooooool side of life!
