I got pregnant 8 weeks ago. I haven’t seen this before. He was so perfect.
Now he gets pissed at me when I get anxious (I have severe anxiety and PTSD that centers around medical things) because I shake and cry. I had a panic attack yesterday and was going to the ER bc I was suffering with extreme vertigo and convinced I was having pre eclampsia for some reason and he didn’t even offer to drive me
I just found out he’s not coming with me to the consultation. I’m sobbing rn. I don’t know if he’s coming to the abortion appointment. I don’t think he’ll be in town to help with the aftercare of my abortion either. I’m tired.
He wasn’t like this before. I’m not going to leave him but I need help to understand what could be making him act like this? Any other women experience something like this

Why would you not leave him? He’s shown you he is incapable of supporting you through difficult times and gets angry with you for being ill.
That is not a healthy person for you.
Fear. Fear for himself.
Dear, he’s showing you who he is and you should believe him. Sorry you’re going through this, hope someone else can support you
He doesn’t love you.
He doesn’t care about you.
He had fun having sex with your body but when you got pregnant you became an inconvenient annoyance.
Why on earth would you stay with him? So he can treat you like this the next time something isn’t to his liking?
Get the abortion and then get rid of this terrible man.
I’m so sorry this is happening to you my friend, you deserve better.
This is who he is. It just came out now because of the stress in your lives. He can’t step up or handle a real, adult relationship.
I’m sorry but why don’t you want to leave him? He’s shown you who he is; uncaring and unsupportive during times of stress. Does that sound like a good partner to you? If your best friend was with a guy that was treating her like this, wouldn’t you want better for her?
>he gets pissed at me when I get anxious (I have severe anxiety…
Sounds like you’re fundamentally incompatible as a couple…
he doesn’t love you. don’t tie yourself to him for the rest of your life. you really don’t have to. he is not going to change when the baby comes. be prepared to it alone.
Have an abortion and leave him
Trust when people show you who they are.
Please don’t tie yourself to this douche canoe for the rest of your life by having his baby. Even if you really want a baby hon, not with him. Based on how he is with you do you think he’ll be good with a child who won’t stop crying?
Dump him yesterday. Partners lift each other up and make space for each others’ feelings. A worthy partner he is not.
> I’m not going to leave him
why the hell not?
also: I need help to understand what could be making him act like this?
Why don’t you ask HIM? He’s the only one who can tell you why HE is acting this way.
The rest of us can only invent generic reasons, like, “sometimes men get scared” or “maybe he thinks you’re trying to trap him” or “maybe this made him realize he’s only with you for convenience” or “maybe he’s got strong emotions and is avoiding them”
Many men only like women when they are serving them. When a woman needs support, these men will be annoyed. The situation is unlikely to get better – likely to get worse, because you will need more help and support as pregnancy advances. And babies need a ton – and children need a ton, and teenagers need a ton, and young adults need a ton.
Be very very sure that this is the man you want to have a baby with. You will likely only have a small number of babies in your life (unless you plan for 12 or whatever) and the father matters a lot.
