In Africa there were schools that were sponsored. It took years for them to realize that the girls were behind because they were staying home while on their periods due to lack of hygiene supplies to deal with periods. The young ladies were staying home because they didn’t want to bleed through their clothes and surfaces at school. It took YEARS!!!

Cloth pads are a lifesaver when it comes to spending money, as long as you make sure to clean them right they last for a while and are much more comfortable

I bought those gray cloth baby diaper liner pads (They’re longer & thicker than cloth period pads). They’re amazing lol. The only downside is you have to wash them 6 times to get them to absorb and you have to wash them after you’ve bled in them (which IDC about since I’m not squeamish at all).
I prefer that to paying for pads & tampons every month.
Got rid of mine with my iud. It’s pretty great. Highly recommend.
