If you watched andor you would see that wasn’t the case. They collected them and broke them apart for materials. Plus the new sequels referenced many went back to exogul and laid in waiting for an uprisingÂ
The New Republic had its own fleets and also wanted to demilitarize a decent bit.
They melted down the Imperial ships for scrap.
