Intentional fouls in basketball when up by 3 is the biggest bitch move in proffesional sports

r/

Intentional fouls when you are up by 3 in basketball is terrible sportsmanship, and there needs to be a rule against it. Fouling when your down to force the leading team to make free throws is perfectly fine, but trying to deny the other team the ability to tie it up by intentionally fouling is a terrible way to end an entertaining game.

Honestly the end of an NBA/NCAA game is unwatchable. It’s a different thing they’re doing where it takes 30 nines for the last 2 minutes. Like wtf is that

You can think it makes for a bad entertainment product.

But you can’t fault the individuals for playing the game optimally (or at least, what they think is optimally)

Something similar with football. In the last few minutes of the game, if the winning team has possession, they’ll just keep taking a knee to prevent the other team from playing and just run the clock out.

    Absolutely shitty and unsportsmanlike play.

Blame the game not the player

There already is a rule against it, that’s why the free throws happen
