[Invincible] Without her limiters could Eve potentially make a new plant Viltrum?

r/

Spoilers for a plot point in the Invincible comics.

During the Viltrumite War the planet Viltrum, home planet of all Viltrumites was destroyed. At the end of the series a new Viltrum empire is created with Mark as the leader.

I’ve been wondering if Eve, without her mental blocks, could create a new home planet for the this new generation of Viltrumites. Is it at all in the realm of possibilities? Make one and even after it’s formed, change things if she wants. Like adding a new continent or ocean.

And if so, could she maybe make it so the passage of time is different for them on the planet? They live for thousands of years so maybe a different sense of time could help them with that?

    No.

While she is capable of doing quite a bit, she has never shown any level of power remotely close to the sheer scale of creating an entire planet. In fact, given what we’ve seen of her range and power, a construct the size of a city would be significantly out of her ability, much less one the size of an entire planet.

and no, she couldn’t change the passage of time. Eve makes or changes matter. Time is not, by any stretch of the imagination, something that falls under her purview.

Probably not, independently of her mental limiters Eve’s power still has an energy cost related to her metabolism which mainly shows itself in impacting her digestion and being able to eat a lot without gaining weight and also prevents her from using her powers while pregnant withthout impacting the health of her child.

Point is, using her power on a scale this much larger than anything she has ever even come close to doing probably would exceed the limits of what her body could handle.

I don’t think so. At least not easily or quickly.

Her mental blocks don’t seem to reduce the scale of her powers – note that even after losing them, Conquest could still resist them to some extent, she can’t just wave a hand and erase him from existence. They just limit what she can use them on. Without her mental blocks, she can affect living beings, but she’s still limited to affecting living beings within the same relatively small area and same finite capacity to alter.

So, if she could make a new planet, it would be one small chunk at a time, limiters or not limiters. This would take a really, really long time. I guess she is immortal, so she could, but it would be a pretty tedious way to spend several thousand years. Ditto for any later changes – if she wants to add a new ocean, she’ll have to fly around turning the land into water chunk by chunk, not simply wave a hand and make it happen.

As for altering the passage of time, I don’t see how she’d be able to do that by rearranging atoms. I guess she could theoretically create a black hole, but that seems unhelpful.

It is my understanding that her blocks are more about what she can/cannot alter, not the sheer volume of it.

With that in mind, she’d take an unreasonably long time to do so… And such a creation would be doomed to failure without a lot more help to get things like planetary rotations and revolutions right for life to exist.

Frankly she’d be far better off terra Viltraforming an existing planet for them.

Potentially I would say yes. With Eve’s power to manipulate biological matter, she could eventually become the next Dr. Manhattan.

Not directly. But she could make clones of herself who can make clones of themselves exponentially until there are enough of them to create a planet.

Since you’re referencing the comics, remember what happens to Eve when she uses her powers a lot in a day?  She takes a lot of shits because of the left over molecules from using her powers.
