I’ve heard of this name but I’ve never met anyone named that. At my job I see the names of approximately 70 different Mexicans a day and I’ve haven’t seen a Diosdado yet.
No, but we have even worse names. Like my cousin’s friend Mayobanex. Or my aunt’s neighbor who wanted her daughters name to be fancy , like , so she called her Channel, not Chanel. But she lives in the USA.😂
Never met one. And I doubt it will never be. Lots of (warranted) contempt from Panamanians and the Venezuelan diaspora (10% of the population of Panama)
To my understanding it was only a common name in Venezuela, and considering the most known Diosdado is a mass murderer and psychopath, it won’t be common in the future anymore
For some reason it does ring a bell, although I wouldn’t call that name “common” at all. There are other names that are more popular and mean exactly the same.
Had a professor with the Latin version of this name – Deusdedit. I guess it’s even more uncommon than the Portuguese or Spanish versions. He did not live up to his name.
It sounds like a grandpa name and I’ve never met, knew or heard of anyone called like that except for the Venezuelan delinquent in the chavista regime.
That name was definitely stained forever due to Diosdado Cabello, who’s one of the regime’s most infamous and despised figures. The irony being that the name literally means “God-given” and the guy is anything but a saint.

It’s the first time I have heard of it, is it suitable as a sibling for someone called: Demonioquitado?
Only time I have ever heard it is from that one Venezuelan dude who has some sort of role in their government, I forget what does he do.
Nop, and at least I haven’t met anyone with that name.
Deusdado in Portuguese
I have seen Deodato before though

No and the only person I know with that name is a bastard. No one should call their son that.
