Is it illegal to download YouTube videos?

Location: Australia

Is it illegal to use a third-party MP3 and MP4 converters, such as youconvert.com to convert YouTube videos, in my case music videos to MP3 and put them on a USB stick? Solely for personal use, no intent to distribute the MP3 files. Is it considered illegal piracy, or is it fine?
