By dumb I mean making stupid decisions like I’m 15, like partying and drinking and smoking and ruining friendships. It’s like I can’t grow up. I think my best friend hates me after something I did at a party last night and now I’m self reflecting.
Would love advice please.
EDIT: I’d like to add that it also pisses my off that everyone who tells me to slow down and get my life together (like my friends irl) have so much help financially and literally from their parents when I have none. I have to pay for food and bills at home with my mum (dad’s not there) and it annoys me that they don’t. That’s why I have no savings in my bank account unlike them.

It is EXTREMELY normal to be dumb at 18.
Your brain is changing and growing at a very fast pace through these years, and most people will make stupid decisions during them.
The important part is that you reflect on your mistakes and learn from them, which will lead into you becoming a mature person/adult.
Yeah it is normal for 18 year olds to still be doing stupid shit. The fact that you are now able to reflect on your actions means that you are maturing.
Stop doing the things that lead to regret.
Smoking and drinking at 18 isn’t uncommon but it’s thankfully not the norm and especially unusual for those that have a life plan and will have easier lives in the future.
You don’t have to have everything figured out but there was plenty in your post to fix right now that will make your life better. Replace bad habits with good ones.
Stay away from from the substances. All of them. Try to hang around / befriend people that you want to be more like. Keep yourself busy with a job and/or school. Seek out responsibility.
Join a trade and find a girl do stupid shit while your young it’s normal. value your youth while you can instead of belittling yourself brother

This will continue until maybe age 25 or when you find a reason to grow up. I acted a fool until about age 26 when I decided to get my nursing degree. It showed me who my real friends were and gave me a real reason to grow up and stop fucking around so much.
