Yea, they are not his cloths they are your cloths. He left them to you, and they are yours now. Its the same as if he was still alive, they are just second hand cloths.

As long as he didn’t die IN them, i think its normal. Anyone who has ever bought some vintage item from a thrift store is likely doing the same thing.

There is no normal for this. Different people will think differently about this. Why are you questioning yourself? Genuinely curious.

Antique furniture, houses, used cars- most are dead people’s stuff. He would be honoured you are using them.

Yes, my dad wears some of his late fathers pajama pants and we call them “DPC’s”(dead peoples clothes) 😅

What’s normal? I think it’s nice that you are wearing his clothes.

I wear some of my dad’s hats and his one winter scarf occasionally. Nothing wrong with an heirloom item being passed down.

I don’t think there is a normal for things like this, my grandad died in my late teens, and I still feel sad and weird touching his things. But if I hadn’t have known him as much, I’m sure it would help me feel closer. There’s no right way to feel or behave, whatever feels right. I think it’s quite sweet you’re doing that, and I’m sure he would be pleased they’re being used!

I wear my deceased Dad’s pajama bottoms because they are really comfortable and I didn’t want to get rid of them.

I wore my Dad’s belt until it broke. Now, I’m using my Father-In Law’s.

Most of my clothes are from the thrift store, I assume some of those people have to be dead. It’s fine.

This makes me curious how many clothes in thrift stores outlived their original owners.

Yes, although I’ve known people to burn everything of the person that pasted
