Is it true that running a fan while sleeping can cause health issues?

r/

I’ve always heard mixed things about sleeping with a fan on—some say it’s bad for your health because of dry air or muscle stiffness. Others say it’s perfectly fine. Is there any scientific evidence that supports either side?

    As opposed to what?

Not sleeping at all because it’s too damn hot, or noisy?

I’m not a doctor but I’ve never heard anyone say this.

I think someone thinks a fan uses too much electricity and you’re not paying for it.

From my own experience, it can be true. I have a dust allergy and running the fan every night over a longer period gives me irritation of the airways. This is because the fan circulates the dust in the room more, so I breath in more dust.
