Is job interviewer saying something negative about their own employee during interview a threat to job security ?

r/

During job interview, interviewer says the following about their employee: ” I don’t want to call them lazy but my frustration with the person in the current position is that they aren’t doing all that they can…”

Does this sound like a threat to job security if I ended up working for them? Someone who might fire someone at a whim or work someone to the bone? I’m wondering as I contemplate accepting a job offer from them or not

It depends on the conversation leading up to that statement and whether the interview was for that employee’s replacement.
