Is there actually a politician who you would like to get a beer with ? If yes, who is it?

Obama. Definitely seems like an interesting guy.
Young Jimmy Carter. There is a great story about him from the documentary Gonzo and I don’t think there’s been a politician as honest since. Grading very heavily on a curve there, but even so.
Bernie Sanders obviously lol
Obama. Cory Booker.
Good ol’ Dubya. After his political career, he basically just fucked off to his ranch and started painting.
Mark Kelly
Being able to talk to anyone who went to space would be cool as fuck
At a union conference I met then Australian opposition leader Bill Shorten. He was fantastic and briefly met Tanya Pilbersek who was witty and charming.
I would love a beer with Australian senator Bob Katter. I don’t like his brand of politics but he seems such a genuine character.
I’ll say Obama, unless there is the option of using said beer to impede the breathing of the chosen politician.
I’d have a beer with Vermin Supreme and Lord Buckethead
Kim Jong Un
Nick Freitas. All around solid dudes.
Ayatollah Khomeini
You know I’d take a drink with JB Pritzker. Drink is on him.
Obama for sure. But AOC seems like she’d be fun to hang out with and talk about some “normal” stuff too.
Would love a beer with Tim Walz
Mitt Romney. Getting a mormon to have a beer with you has got to be some kind of achievement.
If he were alive, Ioseb Dzhughashvili (Joseph Stalin)
Elizabeth Warren, Jasmine Crockett, Jamie Raskin, JB Pritzker, Gretchen Whitmer, Mallory McMorrow, Sheldon Whitehouse, Bernie Sanders, AOC
Anthony Weiner. Dude would be the best wingman 😂
Bernie!
I’d get a beer with Amy Klobuchar, because we could have like six beers and REALLY talk.
AOC…….shes pretty but her intelligence and fire make her sexy as fuck imo
Bernie Sanders. Watching him talk is like watching Larry David live.
Barack Obama, no doubt about it.
Teddy Roosevelt might be interesting too.
Wow people are crazy for not saying FDR. hello new deal, social security, financial reform. 🤍
Probably Bernie Sanders if we have to choose a living politician.
If dead ……Huey Long, maybe Castro. Ben franklin, though not exactly a politician would be highly amusing
I have a friend who was in a position where he met a number of presidents. Im told Bill Clinton, Dubya, and Obama are all good dudes to grab a beer with. I can’t remember H.W.’s wife’s name, but he spoke VERY highly of her as well and said she was a wonderful person to be around.
Pete Buttigieg or Wab Kinew.
George W. Bush Jr.
Arnold Schwarzenegger – His political views are anathema to his party today.
obama, so i can ask him why he was such a coward and bowed to the republicans when he had a super majority in the house and senate.
bernie, to ask him why doesn’t he name and shame conservative democrats that will appear ‘progressive’ but when it’s time to vote for the public option or student loan forgive (lieberman, manchin, sinema) they’ll vote against it and derail a mildly center democrat who tried to actually build back better.
I don’t drink but I would just about do anything for Bernie Sanders. He was America’s last hope but everybody fucked off instead.
Loving everyone’s choices, but for me it’s got to be Zelensky. That guy’s a badass.
Obama, hands down.
Javier Milei.
I don’t drink beer but if I did, or if it was another drink, Nick Freitas. What a guy. Wish he would run for president.
Zelenskyy
Jesse Ventura had a really interesting path to politics and quite a life before that.
I really liked Obama. He seems like a very nice men and has this mentor type of vibe. I am sure I would learn something from him.
Nah, he’s not around anymore.
Tulsi
Henry VIII
Am I allowed to throw said beer in their face?
Abraham Lincoln. I’d love his perspective on what he would have done differently in Reconstruction.
AOC how you doin
Rip the legend Bob Hawke, I’d sink a few tins with him
Mark Carney. I’d really like to know what his plans are.
Anthony Albanese prime minister of Australia. Mostly for growing up in housing commision would mean he probably has some crazy stories.
Bernie Sanders.
None. I don’t like politicians. It’s a crappy business and I don’t trust any of them. Yes I vote…every two years. I focus on local politics…which matters the most. But I would not want to hang out with them.
Living Obama. If brought back to life, no idea. So many National and local ones I would want have a beer with.
Living, Pete or Obama. Dead, Theodore Roosevelt
Pete Buttigieg. One of the craziest resumés I’ve ever seen. He’d school me on everything from parenting and home renovations to naval intelligence and infrastructure inefficiencies, then make me feel like I knew it all along over a few IPAs. Met him once and he just seemed like a genuine dude with a ton of wisdom for a young guy.
Sometimes, there is no answer.
Honestly, most of them. If I could have a candid, no cameras, what’s said, there stays there, conversation with any politician I’d love that. The question is would they tell the truth.
Present politician: Bernie Sanders, I don’t agree with everything but could listen to him speak for hours.
Past politician: LBJ, would love to hear his rise from school teacher to senate majority leader (and eventually VP/President) and how to “play the game” of politics.
Jeff Jackson, former congressman and the new NC AG. He’ll be president one day, mark my words.
