C’s get degrees buddy. Don’t sweat it too much, just work on doing better in the future! Everybody fails sometimes.
Unless you’re going for some scholarship a 3.1 GPA is a great GPA to have.
My son hid his grades from us. Sometime you just aren’t ready for school. I also was a poor student until I got older and then I took it seriously and made good grades. Chock it up as a learning point and press on. Find something you like and do it for a while and then return to school.
I’ve shared so much of my life on Reddit, brutal honesty.
But I’m too embarrassed to say what my gpa was in college. It was about as low as you can go and graduate. Studied mechanical engineering, graduated, then landed a job that didn’t need to see my grades, I interviewed well. I got lucky.
A 3.1 gpa is a fine accomplishment, you can proud of that. Learn from the mistakes that caused a failing grade and try to improve.
3.1 is fine
Deep breath
3.1 is perfectly fine and acceptable. Once your out in the world working no one will ever care
I finished law school with a 3.4. Not too far off from you. It made 0 impact on my career. Don’t be ashamed! You can do amazing things!
No one is looking at your GPA anymore, unless you’re planning to go to grad school or trying to hold a scholarship. If you’re going for grad school, you’re still good at 3.1– just make sure you’re doing good in the classes you’re majoring in from here on out. This is not a big deal.
If you’re in the US, just remember FERPA. Your parents don’t have the right to access or view your grades.
I’m ashamed of how unseriously I took college. I skipped a lot, failed some classes, and graduated with an extremely useless degree. The best you can do is learn from your mistakes and try to do better.
My brother or sister in Christ 🤣 you’re leagues ahead some of us.
I graduated highschool with a 2.18 GPA and have never gone to college or any trade/secondary school.
If you cross out the 3.1 on your graduation ceremony card and write 3.5—and also “error, please announce”… the lady will say “cum laude” when you walk by.
Your grandfather will then buy you a used Cadillac per your agreement.
Oh is this story just specific to me?
“I convinced them 3.1 is a great GPA yo have” dawg i had 0.00 for THREE YEEEAARS you are fine
