I see it’s psychiatrist every 2-3 months for ADD and my Adderall prescription.
I got divorced two years ago and didn’t want to deal with all the questions he’ll ask me about the divorce so I never told him I got divorced. He always asked me how things are going with me and my husband and I always tell him great.

You don’t have to explain everything to your psychiatrist. After all, you’re only being treated for ADD – the divorce has nothing to do with it.
sometimes you don’t want to talk about a divorce. i didn’t want to discuss mine at all. i was so over it. i ended up not talking to anyone who knew him anymore except friends i had separately on my own
you have to have someone refill your meds, so you can get a new one or you can see this one again and be honest:
“I am going to tell you something so you are aware but I don’t want to talk about it so please don’t bring it up. It’s off limits for now. I will let you know if I want to talk about it at some point. (Take in their reaction) I got a divorce, so please don’t bring them up.”
Just gonna put this out there, when I left my ex I didn’t tell my former psychiatrist immediately but eventually when I did he helped adjust my medications so all I needed was my anti anxiety and Adderall prescription. He helped get me off all of my antidepressants and didn’t make me talk about the break up.
Maybe he always asked because he can tell your lying and he is waiting for you to share. People do frequently have tells when they are lying and he is a trained Dr.
