I’ve been homeless over 100 days. Ask me anything.

Have you been stopped by the police or woken up to the police? How was the interaction with them? Did they make you leave property or were they more understandable
Are you homeless by choice or trying to get back into a place?
How did you end up homeless
Are you actively employed, saving to get back on your feet? Was this a decision you made, or was this situation forced upon you?
Did you vote in the last presidential election? You don’t need to say who for.
what’s the first thing you can’t wait to buy just for fun when you finally get back on your feet? like a little treat :3
Are there any things that you prefer about being homeless than not? I know its probably a strange question, but Ive heard about some homeless people liking some aspects of it.
How do you stay clean?
Is substance abuse and/or your mental health contributing factors to your homelessness?
Hi, I’m a case manager at a rapid rehousing organization. Have you tried reaching out to not only the city but outside nonprofits that may be able to provide help?
tbh i seems like this situation happens way more in the USA than anywhere else in the world,
have you been thinking about moving elsewhere, like you can be an english teacher, almost anywhere in europe or so ?
wishing the best
What was it and what led you to that, I mean any addiction? Today you are accompanied by professional support? What was the strongest experience you had (whatever you want to share)? I send you a big hug and I wish you well today, and that in the future you can be where you want to be! I send you love! 🙏🏼❤️
Can I borrow $50?
Do u have any income right now ?
What keeps you going?
How do you manage your daily needs, such as food and hygiene?
What happens when you get your period? Wishing you the best of luck 🤞🏼
how can we help you?
Do you have a plan, or perspective to get out of there soon? Is there any help, job perspective, and/or shelter available for you?
Does being referred to as “unhoused” help your situation?
How are you writing this post right now? Do you have money for a phone with Wi-Fi or data? How do you charge it?
What’s your 3 month game plan?
How difficult is it applying to jobs with no home address? Sending you love 💕
Why don’t u find another job?
What’s your favorite spot to shit?
Have you looked into any resources that may be available in your area? Shelters may be dicey, but if they have capable staff during the day you could just see if they have any knowledge of any assistance available. You sound like you have your head on your shoulders and you could possibly benefit by allowing them to help you.
Kudos for keeping your head up, been in your shoes and with the right mindset (and a little luck) you will get out of this with a deeper appreciation for things people don’t even notice.
Can i help you in anyway? Feel free to dm me 🙂 also a 30F 🫶🏼
How valuable are McDonald’s napkins?
What’s your Venmo?

What was your nicest encounter? Is there a profile you have people that are nice to you. Take care!
Are you safe? As in, it must be scary being out on the road

OP, sorry for your troubles.
Have you ever thought about doing http://www.jobcorps.com? They provide free housing, job trading, medical care, a living allowance, pay for you to travel to their campus etc. Usually you have to be between 16-24 but I read somewhere they extend the age to 30 if you are disabled (mental, physical, emotional) and/or have been a foster child in the past.
What, if any, subreddits have helped (keep your spirits up, good tips etc.) you while you’ve been homeless?
Have you ever checked out r/urbancarliving?
Do you have Zelle or something? I could send you some money to help you out. I’m sorry for what you’re going thru

No questions just wanna say I’m sorry this is happening to you. 😞
What have been the most useful resources for you, either in-person or online?
How have your friends and family reacted, if you’ve told them?
In your 100+ days of being homeless, what have been your best days?
Who has been kindest to you (other homeless people, random people, librarians..?)
What do you wish people would know before they judge someone in your situation?
What do you do to pass the time?
What have been the safer types of places to park without being disturbed?
I’m so sorry you are going through this. I’m your age, broke, applying for disability, and just got approved for SNAP. I’m lucky enough to have a roof over my head for now, but I’ve come damn close to being in your shoes and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to totally avoid it either.
Living paycheck to paycheck sucks so fucking much, you can’t save a damn thing, always literally penny pinching, and people who have never been poor take for granted how much it really does cost to be able to make money (access to water/shower for hygiene and teeth, access to clean clothes or new clothes depending on job’s clothing code, access to medication to treat any conditions that affect your ability to work, access to healthy food, etc).
Keep your chin up and keep moving forward. Do your best to avoid people who want to examine your mind for the reason for your circumstances. Take it easy and hope things go your way.
You should take this time to try and learn a skill so that you don’t continue to stay in minimum wage jobs where you’re on the brink of death every day.
Were you like living with a partner/bf before being homeless??
You mentioned your dad in another comment, why can’t you live with him? Hang in there OP, better days are coming!

Where in the U.S. and (generally speaking) what has caused you to become homeless?
Good luck to you and thank you for doing this
What’s something you wish people would understand about homelessness?
Also noticed you talked about your close friend. You don’t have to answer, but what’s your relationship like? where do you hang out?
Don’t have any question that hasn’t been answered already. Just wanted to wish you the best and hope that things turn for you soon! 🙂
Do you have parents/family that can help you out in any way?
You have cash app?
Can you ‘temporarily’ live with your dad until you have some sort of savings after finding a job near where he lives?
Just some suggestions, check craigslist for free things like blankets and such. Get a gym membership because many gyms have access to showers. Cost effective than going elsewhere. Plus is you get to work out and go inside somewhere warm in colder months. Some gyms are open 24 hours.
So no phone ? You on a laptop? U have po box or anything. Was trying to help out with gas money or food money.
