Laid off from a 100% remote position and the company went under before handling the return of their property. What now?

Location: Illinois (the company is in MA)

I was a 100% WFH employee with a fair amount of company owned property (2 medium/large moving boxes, ~60lbs). I was abruptly laid off about a month ago and they said they would send me a shipping label where I could drop it off at a UPS store to be packed and shipped. However that never happened and they went totally out of business last week.

I don’t want this stuff cluttering my office anymore. Since I don’t think they’re ever going to send me a shipping label, what steps do I need to take to just throw the stuff out?
