Land Dispute

r/

I need advice concerning a land dispute. This is for my mother and grandmother, and a real estate attorney has been contacted- wanted to see if others think contacting an attorney for this matter is appropriate or they should back down. The short story is:

My great grandfathers farm was split between my grandmother and her siblings 4 ways. There was a driveway partially on both my grandmothers and great uncles land that my grandfather used for my mother. She has had this driveway and two buildings that is on my great uncles land for 28 years. The land has now sold, and received a letter to remove the building and to put in a new driveway because it is without a doubt the new owners land and they will take action if not moved. Thoughts?
