Landlord threatening to change locks

So I am renting weekly for a studio … I told the landlord that I would be moving out by the end of the month … last week I was served with a ten day notice and he told me today that I need to be out by this Monday or he will change the locks … when I mentioned that he can’t do that he said that he can because week to week is different .. I am in North Carolina .. yes I am late by two weeks but made payment arrangements… any advice appreciated thanks
