Landlord verbally instructed me to do something, then denied it by text.

Location: CA My landlord verbally informed me to start parking in an area that is clearly stated not to park in the lease. The owner did not like it so the landlord called to apologize over the phone, admitted to her mistake but sent a text afterwards informing me that she never gave me permission to park there as it clearly states in the lease to not park in that area. I just don’t know what to do at this point. I never even asked to park there in the first place, Besides requiring written permission first, how else can I handle this? Thanks
