i go to the best mechanic in the area, he’s really kind and so are the other guys there. always looks out for his customers and never tries to make a quick buck.
i wanted to call and thank him again, since he filled up my windshield wiper fluid for free, and because i also wanted to thank the guy who i spoke with initially who scheduled me.
would this be unusual/weird? idk i was slightly awkward when i paid and everything, he was kind as ever, but i feel like i should have done more. idk i just really appreciate him and his shop since i’ve been screwed over by mechanics before, even when i’ve given those bad guys muffins lol

Definitely, there is nothing weird about being openly thankful to someone who did you good! 🙂
Could always leave a good review on Google or something too!
Flowers and donuts.
I’d let them know you’ll recommend their business, and that you’ll leave a 5 star review.
But always be very guarded when it comes to your muffins.
Yeah absolutely!
Also it’s not customary to tip, but a year-end cash gift might be nice.
I use to have mechanic who hooked me up..was going to him for long time til girlfriend got crazy and started calling me being crazy anyway. When I originally tried to tip them never took money so I just started leaving it near them so they saw $ and saw me leave it. Sometimes I paid for lunch for them. Or bring in lunch for the team .
I brought my guy brownies…
Give em some baked goods with a thank you card. Baked gopds are always a hit
A 5 star review is the best a customer can do and gift card if you want to do more.
Send a thank you card for the group with a personal note of thanks for specific things and people that helped. Something they can hang so customers see. They would like that a lot. If it’s a small company with few workers don’t hesitate to send a pizza pie as well !
Not weird at all. People genuinely enjoy praise most of the time (especially if it comes from a stranger).
It makes them feel like they’re doing something worthwhile and they’re appreciated. (speaking first hand as someone that used to work at “WorstPurchase”).
Customers thanking me for selling them what they needed and not some overpriced shit, personally made my day.
It’s only unusual because we’ve become so detached from each other. You’d thank the guy you know next door that you know for mowing your lawn while he was already at it, right? Don’t overthink it.
They’ll be pleased to hear a genuine thank you instead of a complaint.
I would leave a good review online and take over a basket of nice apples or mandarins etc with a thank you for the good service. Cookies and donuts are not alway healthy.
Leave a review. Send a card and small basket or gift card
Bring them donuts!
