Leg day is the best day and is superior to other days.

r/

Anyone who says otherwise is a misguided philistine.

Your strongest muscles are from the waist down. Your feet and ankles are designed (through evolution) to absorb and redirect impact. Squats and deadlifts all day, any day too. Two of the most complete and impactful movements ever; can NEVER go wrong with these. You burn more calories, and by extension fat, when you do leg/lower body exercises because your legs have more muscle mass than your arms and other upper body parts. Not hating on upper body days like chest day, back day, arm day etc. Two of my favourite exercises are pushups and bent over rows, but my heart still belongs to leg day.

And yes, I LOVE doing bulgarian split squats. Arguably one of the best exercises ever invented.

Clearly you have never had a sunday.

I mean I agree but you can definitely “go wrong” when doing deadlifts and squats lol

Is this unpopular? I grew up with “never skip leg day” propaganda. Leg day is the best and leaves me feeling the most fulfilled than any other body part.

I don’t have leg/chest/arm day, I usually work 2-3 muscles groups a day from different parts of my body, such as abs, glutes, and traps, then the next day, abs, lats, and quads. Is it really that common to do this?

As someone who has been going to the gym consistently for two months now, I hate it (leg day). I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. It sucks. My quads are on FIRE and they hurt. I don’t wanna. It’s so much movement, I feel like I’m gonna throw up.

    Take my upvote.

If I could, leg day every day. However, the DOMs and recovery time is definitely longer than upper body. I learnt that the hard way 🤕

Not for cyclists, it makes the next days ride brutal and usually shorter

Can’t spell legendary without Leg day

More boost in testosterone from the high muscle mass exercised, so I am going to mark this as true.

I would do squats everyday if I could. Squats are by far the most enjoyable exercise. I don’t go to the gym anymore, but when I do, I go straight for the squat rack. No better feeling.

I definitely disagree, don’t get me wrong I love a good leg press or extension but leg curls are probably my least favourite exercise

Did you seriously call people philistines then say our legs are evolved?

It’s absolutely true from health perspective, but… Having “strong” legs is almost no different from having “usual” legs in life, while having strong arms and back has tremendous effect on your looks and feels. You just don’t have a use for all that extra muscles that allow you to squat 300 pounds unless you have a fat girlfriend that likes rock concerts.

I hate having big legs, especially big quads. If they get too big, they touch and create friction and that is enough reason for me to hate leg day.
