You have to agree with people who have something you want or have power over you in some way.
If you have power over someone it’s very unlikely you will actually be accepted by them genuinely. They’re just agreeing with you because of survival.
I wonder if those in power realize that?
People can’t handle differences in others. They who are like that will pay the price by having yes men around them who say what they want to hear NOT the truth or their true Thoguhts and feelings.

I guess the right wording would be “You have to pretend to agree with people who have power over you” cause yea, today it can cost you your career, job, opportunities etc. The sad world we live in.
