What if I may have moved to a new state 3 years ago after a stint of homelessness, however due to circumstances like living situation (renting a room in an apartment from somebody off Craigslist) no mail at the address, and no lease or agreement so they didn’t update their address/license/ registration, and genuinely planned to move back but was unable to do so. And 100% believed that the address on their valid license was their only form of legitimate identification due to instability both financially and unstable/unsure residency. Previously did gig work at first (1099) and in 2024 got a job in the state that is on the original license and worked there until a few months ago. Then this year 2025 got a job in the state that is technically the residency, and used a valid license from the other state to fulfill work requirements such as professional licenses/ firearm requirements because it was believed that’s what was supposed to be done as it is still a valid/only form of identification. I did periodically stay at the address on the license for sometimes days at a time out of the week for all of the years (used to live there and knows the person who lives there as a friend). License and registration was renewed in my home state yearly. At this point today I am correcting the issues and updating all information to become compliant willfully on my own now that I have a stable living condition. Is this going to be a major problem? What needs to be done going forward after updating everything license/registration/PERC/FOID with the correct new address?
