Living until 80+ sounds way too long

r/

I’d be fine with a shorter lifespan. Just enjoy the youthful years until it comes to an end. It’s not that I don’t want to be there anymore today, but being around for 50+ more years just sounds like a drag

Idk man my grandparents are in their 80s and still go on a cruise a few times a year. They went down to London just yesterday. Not every old person is immobile and can’t live their life

Personally I’d just really want to meet my grandchildren and have some years NOT working before I die

“I want to die early” truly unpopular. Low effort, but unpopular.

Life is (for most people) what you choose to make it.

I fully agree with this. I’m also have very strong opinions about being a DNR. If it’s my time, it’s my time. I don’t want no interventions. I also don’t believe family members should be able to reverse a patients advanced directives. I’m very much quality of life over length of life.

What a shame that you have such a limited view of what makes life enjoyable, and at what age people can live an enjoyable life.

My 75+ aunts have way better hobbies than me, a great attitude, good health, and a wonderful perspective on life.

Today I’ll count myself lucky that I have positive examples of living life to the fullest, for all your ages.

I’ve thought like this, but nobody warns you (or we don’t listen when they do) on how age creeps up on you. Heavy things happen to you in your life good or bad, and they capture your focus and energy for a sustained period of time. For example meeting your soulmate, starting a business, going to school, having a child, getting married, getting a divorce, dealing with physical or mental health issues , or a death of a loved one. You’ll be 26 and then 31 out of nowhere. Time flies when you are occupied, and the older you get the more occupied you tend to get generally speaking.
