Really just need some help we’re just super stressed out because this was supposed to be a happy and exciting thing and it’s turned into a huge nightmare. I really really hope this doesn’t violate any rules I read them and I can’t decide if it does but we’ve already went through a lawyer irl and it was just terrible. Here’s the story I’m sorry it’s long:
Location: Florida
My bf bought a truck with 0 miles on it and it was a left over on the lot of a crysler dodge ram place. At about 200 miles on it, it gave a check engine light and was running rough. He took it into the dealership and they cleared the codes and then told him it was fixed. He drove it and then like 50 miles later it did the check engine light again and they brought it in and kept it for longer and decided it was some connector under the seat not plugged in the entire way. They “fixed” that, cleared the codes, and then sent him on his way. The truck did the check engine light AGAIN and he brought it back in to which they decided it was now the entire hybrid system and they kept it for weeks waiting on parts and replacing it. After that, my bf decided he didn’t like the way they kept brushing off issues with the truck so when there was some electrical things going on like one headlight would turn off and the other would stay on, he took it to another dealership where they refused to do service on the truck because they said quote “it has to many problems”. Which was insane for a dealership to turn away warranty work but anyways.
He contacted stellantis and eventually they offered him an extended warranty and stuff after he literally had fought with them for weeks about this. He kept going and they said they’d try to get him 6K and the warranty because my bf argued that the value of the vehicle has been heavily damaged now due to the service history (we got a quote from another dealership and they quoted it like 10k less then other trucks they have with more miles and stuff and cited the service history as the issue). They came back to him saying they actually couldn’t do the 6k the manager said they’d be able to do and instead offered 4.5k. Now we wanted to just take this offer but my bf contacted a lawyer to see if the case had any value for a lemon law case (Florida btw) and they were extremely confident that they have dealt with hundreds of these cases and could get more out of them. We researched a lot and with what they said we believed it was worth a shot.
During the lawyer process the dealership requested us take the truck in to get a through inspection done by thier own dealership to which they found nothing. They claimed it was already fixed and they denied any compensation. For the 5 months we’ve had this truck it’s spent about 3 in the shop and has lost over 10k in value. The lawyers said today that we lost the case and there’s nothing more they can do.
My question is, is this seriously it?
TLDR: we bought a truck it was brand new. The truck had been in and out the dealership shop more then 3 times and was denied warranty service from another dealership because it “had to many problems”(we have paperwork of that), has a lowered value (we have the quote for that), and has had a major engine component change. It has small electrical gremlins as well. Is there literally nothing else we can do?

Is the car fixed or not?
Sorry this happened but it sounds like you are at the end of options. Hit up some dealers for a trade in, cut your losses and don’t buy another Dodge.
