Hey all, I just had my first big boy Dr appointment.
I went in mostly for a general check up, but have had sneaking suspicions of something fucky with my endocrine system.
Had him pull full labs on my blood work. Everything was green, from Cholesterol, to Thyroid, to B12, to blood pressure. All pretty much dead center of normal range.
Except my T. Clocked in at 262. This was 8:30am, which to my understanding is the ideal time.
I’m healthy, lift weights, eat fairly well, and have a very regimented work/life/fun schedule.
Only drawbacks is I’m slightly overweight (~27% BMI, but a lot of muscle, so it’s skewed) and I do vape.
I just got the tests back today, so I’m sure there will be a follow up shortly, but anyone in my bracket familiar with this? What did you choose to do? Any pointers?

How’s your sleep?
Get yourself to an endocrinologist.
Saved my life. Showed Low T and weird thyroid stuff
Turns out I have a tumor on my pituitary.
It was causing me to have prolactin production. Turned off my testosterone. I went through the male equivalent of menopause.
I’m on a pill that turned off the tumor and the prolactin and my T is back to normal again
What’s your fat % at a BMI of 27?
How your stress?
How’s your sleep?
I hopped on TRT. No sport tuning or running a permanent cruise cycle. Don’t have to donate blood for my hemacrit. 100mg a week.
Life changing.
I ran into the same issue at roughly the same age. You are in medical no-mans-land. No one will prescribe you in the 200s unless you’re lucky, but you absolutely have low testosterone. As for why, who knows.
Have them recheck it. When going through things with my doctor, my levels swung widely. I had four tests, and the results ranged from 64-302 ng/dl.
After 9 months of doctors appointments and meeting with my PCP, urologist, and endocrinologist, I had hit a dead end. I went to my local clinic and have been on TRT through them ever since.
I would say, I wouldn’t start TRT unless you had any noticeable side effects of Low T. The fact that you have good muscle mass, have the motivation to lift weights, and aren’t commenting on any other issues leads me to think it’s probably best if you leave your hormones alone until things get worse. TRT is no magic bullet. You may be creating five new problems just to fix your T levels that weren’t bothering you that much to begin with.
Every body is different. My T doesnt peak at 9 am. My sleep schedule is all fucked up too. You are overweight. Excess body fat has estrogenic side effects. Try other methods before going on T, because it limits your ability to have kids.
