When you click a video and see you have to watch two ads, you can watch the first one to completion, close the video and click on it again. That will instantly skip the second ad.

No-one should go near the internet without adblock.
LPT: Don’t listen to this guy. Fuck ads. Either get Premium or use Firefox and uBlock.
Laughs in Brave Browser
I just use an Adblock and skip ALL of the ads.
I hope they get sentenced someday thinking it’s ok to spam and waste people precious time with force-fed horrendous ads designed to break your calm, peace and focus.
As if you had not to be respected if you don’t pay a 10shmeckles per month subscription.
Hope people take no more or this shit in the future years but I’m probably a big dreamer.
I think everyone should find ways to act upon these tactics, before it gets normalized by future generations.
LPT: Get an adblocker, as recommended by the US government for accessing the internet safely.
LPT get an ad blocker
The part that sucks is that content creators, even the bigger names that are corporate sponsored, know this fact and now they read the ad copy right in the middle of their videos. So it’s not even YouTube popping up with random ads. It’s the creators themselves. At least it does prompt you on how to skip ahead. But it sucks especially if you already have YouTube premium and ad blockers enabled and you like to put on a video while you walk around and do other things.
That’s a neat little trick you found there. I give that a try sometimes, though usually I just let them run when I’m feeling lazy. I mean, I get why YouTube does it, they gotta make their money somehow. But man, sometimes those ads really test my patience, especially the long ones where you can’t skip after 5 seconds. You’d think they’d know by now that no one enjoys sitting through back-to-back ads when you’re trying to dive straight into a video. But hey, we gotta do what we gotta do to get through them without feeling like we’re watching more ads than content, right?
There are also ads that I know are a bit longer or cannot be skipped. Closing and re-opening might give you a better ones (shorter or those that can be skipped).
adguard is the way to go. only one that consistently works well.
