Last night my manager was skimming the till she then pulled out a 20 dollar bill and said “Its counterfeit I can tell” and rised it up to the light to check. She then accused me of putting it in there since I was at said till all day while yes she is right about being at the till all day there were 3 other people at that till throughout the day. She then said I would need to pay for it. I don’t believe they legally can make me pay for it I was never trained on how to tell if money was counterfeit or not. I really can’t lose this job and I’m scared that I’m going to get fired what should I do?

No you are not responsible for the money and what she is asking for is illegal. Ask her to put it in writing and if she is dumb enough to you could definitely file a complaint with your hr or the department of labor.
